“I was recently placed in a holding cell in piscataquis county jail.I would like an unannounced visit by public health officials done. I would like swabs to be taken of the interior front booking room holding cells mostly the center cell and the others as well I was placed in there with open wounds from police officers and denied my medicines for my heart now I am falling ill from the puke,blood,vomit,piss,spit,feces,and whatever else is in there.I'm also guessing that if you did the same thing at penobscot jail you would find even worse conditions and I dont mean go in there and swab the cleanest surface you can find look around at the doors walls bed areas toilets they are so riddled with feces,blood,the places should be condemned.I'm sure that any human placed in there would be in immediate danger of one disease or another. I however am always at danger of contracting another heart infection even after being told this and that I am on medicines that are antibiotic I have to take everyday for the rest of my life they still denied me my medicine and kept me in the filthy holding cells.
THE guards at all jails use forced labor to clean which no inmate is experienced in biohazard removal or wants too so it never gets cleaned fully or right.Now after having two open heart surgeries I may be at risk of having to have a third operation.My hope is you can help address this so nobody else has to get sick from the horrible conditions at the jails especially the holding area where alot of people pass through inmates are required to keep a clean area in there dorms/cells and usually this is even unforced by the inmates themselves but holding areas are not kept up by anyone but an inmate trustee who is not wanting or capable of cleaning these horror cells up right...
Please help I've asked for photographs at each jail and seen this with my own eyes and believe being placed in these conditions is what lead to many and much of my own health problems. No, I haven't always been a model citizen but nobody should have to be subject to that we are not a 3rd world country.
